BILL HILDEBRAND

Managing Director

Bill Hildebrand joins MAD Global Strategy after a decade at Mercury, a bipartisan global public strategy firm. At MAD Global, he is responsible for survey research, direct marketing, advertising, and strategic communication services for corporate and political clients across the United States.

Built on over 20 years of experience in the fast-paced environment of political and public affairs campaigns, Bill specializes in combining polling, message testing and data modeling with targeted advocacy and grassroots mobilization programs.

Bill has been intimately involved in numerous high-stakes public affairs projects on behalf of leading Fortune 500 companies and trade associations. In that role, he has designed winning strategies that build public support or mitigate public opposition, primarily in the energy, health care and real estate industries, among others – distilling complex issues and framing choices for the public and decision makers.

Bill is also a trusted manager of direct mail and independent expenditures for various state and local ballot initiatives, national super PACs, 501c4s, and political leaders at every level of government. Earlier in his career, Bill served as Vice President of Campbell Campaigns, a political consulting company, and as Northeast Political Coordinator for the reelection of President George W. Bush.

In 2016, Bill was named a “Hero” by the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund for his volunteer work helping to launch the $40 million non-profit by New Jersey’s First Lady that aided long-term recovery efforts in his home state. A proud graduate of Rutgers University, Bill and his wife Katie live in northern New Jersey with their four children.
