Montclair, New Jersey – MAD Global Strategy, a leading bipartisan public affairs firm, is pleased to announce that Justin Braz has been promoted to Partner.

Braz joined MAD Global Strategy in 2023 and oversees the firm’s Trenton lobbying operation. His promotion is not only a result of his outstanding achievements but the firm’s commitment to advancing leadership from within the organization.

Prior to joining MAD Global Strategy, Braz served as Chief of Staff and Assistant Commissioner for Transportation Policy at the New Jersey Department of Transportation. He assumed that role after being Governor Murphy’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs for five years.

Braz also served as Senior Advisor to Murphy for Governor and the New Jersey Democratic State Committee 2021, Labor Director for Victory 2017 and was Chief of Staff to Assembly Budget Chairman Gary S. Schaer from 2013 until August 2017.
Braz was the New Jersey Political Coordinator for 1199 SEIU and Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Annette Quijano. Additionally, He is a national board member and a founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of New Leaders Council, a leadership and professional development organization. He was the former Chairman of the State House Commission as the Governor’s representative.
Locally, Braz serves on the Bordentown City Planning and Zoning Board. He also serves on the New Jersey State Committee of the Regional Plan Association. Braz is a proud graduate of Penn State University.
