Brandon has built and led multi-state government affairs operations from the ground up, including architecting coordinated 50-state policy strategies and shaping regional frameworks across the Northeast. He understands how Corporate America works—partnering closely with executive leadership, legal, compliance, sales, and public affairs teams to align public policy strategy with business objectives in rapidly evolving regulatory environments.
He has successfully led high-stakes legislative engagements across multiple jurisdictions. Brandon has been instrumental in defeating major AI and licensing proposals that threatened creative and technology sectors, securing crucial carveouts in complex social media legislation to prevent burdensome compliance mandates, and negotiating first-in-the-nation consumer affairs legislation in New York. His approach combines early risk identification, coalition building, attorney general engagement, and disciplined amendment negotiation.
Prior to entering the private sector, Brandon served in senior leadership roles in the New York State Senate, where he developed a reputation as a hands-on problem solver for businesses and communities navigating complex regulatory systems. He helped restaurants and small business owners navigate decades-old and often burdensome state liquor laws, enabling hospitality businesses to operate and grow within New York’s challenging regulatory environment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked directly with state agencies and local stakeholders to remove regulatory barriers for struggling businesses—including helping facilitate the opening of Staten Island’s only drive-in movie theater as an innovative solution for safe community entertainment during lockdowns.
In addition to his corporate and legislative experience, Brandon serves on nonprofit boards, providing governance oversight and strategic counsel. His ability to operate across corporate, governmental, and nonprofit ecosystems makes him a uniquely versatile advisor for clients navigating complex, multi-state regulatory environments.
Brandon holds a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University at Albany.
